Temporary Suspension of Public celebration of Holy Mass

The decision has been made to suspend all public celebration of Holy Mass at Holy Rosary Cathedral as of Friday, March 20, 6 PM until further notice. This is to comply with the directives of the Archbishop of Vancouver and of the public health authorities about containing the spread of the Corona virus. This likewise applies to other parish activities and celebrations, such as Stations of the Cross, and other acts of public devotion.

While this is happening the Cathedral will be open in a limited way for private prayer Monday-Saturday from 11:30 AM to 4 PM and on Sundays from 12 noon to 4 PM. We will also continue to offer confessions from 12 noon to 1 PM and from 3 PM to 4 PM. These measures are subject to change any time without notice.

The Cathedral will be streaming Masses daily during this time. Please visit the Cathedral’s live-streaming page to follow Holy Mass during these days. The Live-Stream times are: 7:15 AM,  12:10 PM, and 5:10 PM on weekdays, and 8 AM, 11 AM, 6:30 PM (Spanish) and 8 PM on Sundays.

Please know that we are praying for you, your loved ones, our city, and those afflicted the most. This is certainly a trying time for all of us, but we remember that God never leaves us, and that the light of Christ dispels all darkness.
